  • Not much going on around the here worth writing about.  In fact, I was so desperate for something fun to do that today I did my income taxes and went to the dentist.  I had such a good time, that I've scheduled a root canal for tomorrow.

    052 I've been working on the garden.  Babs helped me design an automatic sprinkler system that will allow me to take vacations without worry that my plants are drying out and I'm hoping will also conserve water.  The strawberries are producing as fast as the sow bugs can eat them, the arugula has gone to seed (in the back), the beans, tomatoes, eggplant, peas, cucumbers and onions are planted.  I'm going to wait until I get back from Utah in April to plant the squash and peppers.

    We will be without home grown tomatoes (for the first time since last summer) for a few weeks while the new plants get established.  The new Lemon Boy already has a small tomato on it!

    The peach tree is just starting to blossom while the nectarine and apricot trees are already in full leaf.  It would be nice if all the fruit didn't come ripe at the same time.

    Princess Butchie reigns supreme inside while her minions hold down the fort outside.

    And that's all the news from the ranch where all the males are neutered, all the females are spayed and all their staff are above average.

  • What do you mean NOTHING is going on??? This is party central, baby! And your income taxes are done. Nothing to disparage over at the Judy Estate! The garden looks awesome! Mine is kind of weedish and I need to get in there and clear stuff out. I am excited about more summer time entertaining once the weather is good, if I stay here. Your kitteny kittens do indeed have the finest staff in all the land!

  • great pictures.  i'm still a little skeptical over just what youre watering there, but to each her own judy. to each her own.

  • Your garden is lovely , well done to you for growing all that food

  • @queenie - Are things warming up in your neck of the woods yet?  On a different subject entirely... looks like Lance won't be winning the tour this year; what bad luck!  NPR's report said he should still be able to do the tour but It would be a miracle if he could win.

    @curtainsopen - It's oregano, nothing more.

    @englishjuls - Thanks.  It's lots of work but very rewarding.  I just need to thin out the sow bug population.

  • The graden looks clean and organized .
    I like the pink shelter

  • You decided to put seating in the spot that gets afternoon shade!  What a good idea!  I haven't solved that dilemma yet, since my shadow is created by my gazebo.

    I didn't get notice that you posted.  Had to hear it from the Florida contingent.  Good thing someone's paying attention.  You know how I hate to  miss out!

  • @babs430 - Yeah, nothing grows well there anyway because of the roots from the neighbor's tree.  I spread the accumulated bay leaves around the chairs because they smell so good but the cats think they are there to provide a litter box.
